Credit Risk Analyst/Modeler - Finance Change
Location: London
Purpose of the role:
Credit Risk/Modeler role contributing to and driving forward a number of key project deliverables including Credit Risk Data Modeling and Reporting requirements.

Undertake analysis activities in line with the project schedule to obtain and validate data definitions

Undertake investigations of questions around data in the Credit Risk Platform and coordinating data gap resolution activities

Ensure all relevant information is available to guide design of data and reporting solutions
-
For specified risk areas, perform a mapping and modeling exercise for data to be reported
-
Data analysis, substantiation and issue resolution
-
Using the data collated from the analysis stage, take informed decisions to influence the direction and shape of solutions put in place, ensuring it is the optimum solution for the business

Liaise with and support the Project Owner, end users, business specialists and other related workstreams to understand the business requirements
-
Liaise with Designers, Developers and Testers to ensure they understand the business and operational requirements of the processes, where necessary

Assist with user training and project documentation

Provide input into the end to end Test Strategy, Test Plans, Test Conditions and Cases

Assist with and perform project administration associated with specific assigned risk work streams
Deliverables:

Detailed Functional Specifications

Data Mapping spreadsheets

Gap Definition Documents

Project administration documents (weekly progress reporting; traceability matrices; Analyst working documents)
Experience:
-
Detailed understanding of Credit Risk reporting and Credit Risk modeling
-
Significant experience of working within a project environment with a proven ability to work on own initiative to contribute to delivery of optimum business solutions

Knowledge of banking products and terminology
-
Previous experience in Finance Change, Finance Solutions, Credit Risk, Regulatory Regulatory, or, Restructuring functions of Financial Services

Experience in drafting documents for non-technical and technical audiences
Other Significant Role Requirements:

Excellent communications skills and the ability to interpret conceptual ideas and translate them into meaningful solutions

Ability to work in partnership with the Project Manager to manage effectively the links with stakeholders
-
Adaptable to changing project focus and requirements

Experience with working in an Agile environment

Prototyping experience is a plus
Technical Knowledge:
-
Competent use of Microsoft Office
-
Familiarity with Credit Risk and related systems
-
Ability to read and write SQL code
-
Competent use of business analysis techniques
-
Ability to read and write technical documents
-
Good understanding of Project life cycle
-
Large data experience would be beneficial
-
SAS experience would be beneficial
-
Oracle experience would be beneficial
-
Systems Architecture experience would be beneficial
Education:
-
Accounting Qualification, and/or, University Degree in IT, Finance, Statistics, Accountancy, or, related subjects
